ASK COUSIN GABE: UFC FIGHT NIGHT 110 EDITION

«Request Cousin Gabe» is an article at MMAOddsBreaker.com where I answer questions from readers. If you would like to ask me a question, regarding wagering, any upcoming battle cards, or MMA generally, please email it to budosophy@gmail.com and make sure to include your name and location.
In this edition, I insure UFC Fight Night 110 at Auckland, New Zealand.
What’s your fav prop for FN110? -V, Los Angeles Currently, Mark Hunt at Round One (+375) provides the best value, in my own estimation, as I think that is the most likely outcome to that heavyweight matchup.
After Lewis knocks out Hunt, does he get a title shot or Francis Ngannou fight everyone is talkin about?» -Baltimore, Tiger, MD
As I said in my answer to the previous question, I am of the belief that Hunt is going to put Derrick Lewis away in this contest. But should Lewis come out victorious, I wouldn’t hate either matchup. Cain Velasquez is still recovering from harm, thus there’s no real No. 1 competitor. I would understand visiting Lewis jump directly to a title shot, and I would also know him being pitted against Ngannou in a title eliminator matchup. As I said however, I don’t anticipate this to be a sensible dilemma, as I think Hunt will finish his losing skid with a knockout victory in Auckland.
Hello, sir. What do you think of the Lewis, Cutelaba, Elliott & Volkanovski parlay? Thanks. -Stuart, Del Rio It definitely has potential of hitting they are four betting favorites in the end. However, like I said in my replies to the two preceding questions, I think Hunt will win that struggle. In terms of Cutelaba, I favor him to win but believe he is too overpriced at his current offering price of -290 to utilize him for a parlay piece. I believe Ben Nguyen is a live puppy in his matchup against Tim Elliott, which struggle is a no bet for me. I am just playing with the Over in that one, and Volkanovski of course I like a lot. In conclusion, I really don’t enjoy the parlay, but I could see it hitting.
Thank you for your queries and contributions.

There’s so much happening in the world of sport gambling in the US at the moment that you may be forgiven if you are not up to date with all the latest developments. Rhode Island became the eighth state to legalize sports gambling annually and there’s now a significant push to find online and get mobile sports gambling going in RI.

Although sports betting and online wagering are currently legal in the state of Rhode Island there is still a slight delay on the introduction of online gambling sites. This leaves just land-based sportsbooks since the place to create wagers in the present moment.
Although individuals in Rhode Island can get fantasy sports sites there are no Rhode Island online sports gambling sites to select from. This scenario is likely to change quite soon as the state has just passed a bill into law allowing people in the Ocean State to create their wagers online or via cellular.
Now, it is up to the two casinos to launch their online platforms and apps. The Rhode Island Lottery will be regulating sports betting from the nation.
RI Sports Betting
Rhode Island Land Based Sportsbooks
With sports fans eagerly awaiting the news that online sites will be completely functional the only way to enjoy Rhode Island sports betting at the current time is in one of the two land-based casinos.
Both casinos finally have sportsbooks where a full range of wagers can be created — and as they are the only places to make a choice on New England they could get pretty busy! That is just one more reason why bettors are looking forward to Rhode Island online sports gambling become completely legalized and operational.
However, for now, here are both land-based casinos where customers can bet on sports at Rhode Island.
TWIN RIVERS SPORTSBOOK
Twin Rivers in Lincoln, Rhode Island initially opened in 1947 but it’s only since 2018 — when the state legalized sports gambling — that a sportsbook was added into the surgery.
Together with New England being such a sports-mad region of the country there has naturally been a good deal of interest in the opportunity to create selections and wagers in Twin Rivers — and it is thought that as soon as Rhode Island online sports betting gets the go-ahead, this casino could have as a major interest in that as well.
For the time being, Twin Rivers is among the Rhode Island sportsbook offering players the opportunity to produce their sports wagers. Each of the big sports and leagues are coated at Twin Rivers including:
Football Basketball
Baseball
Hockey
Football Boxing
MMA
Auto Racing
Golf
All the best events from around the world have betting markets at Twin Rivers — and there’s a sizable choice of bet types which could be drawn up in the casino.
TIVERTON SPORTSBOOK
The casino in Tiverton is another place of sport betting in RI at the moment. Its sportsbook started in December 2018 and has also been doing some very good business due to its place — as well as the betting laws of neighboring countries.
The Tiverton sportsbook offers much the same as Twin Rivers as much as the scope of sports, leagues, and tournaments covered and will also, no doubt, be instrumental in the launch of their Rhode Island online sports gambling industry.
Another point to notice about both the Twin Rivers and Tiverton casino sportsbooks is that they are not allowed to exhibit chances online — or anyplace else besides at the sportsbook itself. Obviously, once these Rhode Island sportsbooks have the ability to offer an internet company, bettors will have the ability to use the sites to place wagers and test up on the most recent prices and gaming lines.
World-renowned bookmaker William Hill currently functions the sportsbooks for both casinos so it’s anticipated that they will also be involved in the online variations when they get going.
Is Sports Betting in Rhode Island Legal?
Governor Gina Raimondo formally legalized sports gambling in June 2018, followed by a bill legalizing online wagering at March 2019.
This conclusion followed the course of an increasing number of nations who have enabled sports fans to bet on occasions — and it seems as though there’ll be many more in the months and years ahead.
There has been some confusion over the need for further legislation but in the present period, Rhode Island sports gambling is fully permitted in the two casinos with the opportunity to wager on sports online in RI and online platforms coming shortly.
LAND BASED SPORTS BETTING IN RI
Rhode Island has followed the lead of a number of different nations and legalized sports gambling but lovers can simply enjoy land-based Rhode Island sportsbooks right now. This isn’t an perfect situation for a lot of people in — and close — into the Ocean State who wish to place sports wagers, but it is a start.
As outlined previously, the two casinos in the country — Twin Rivers and Tiverton — both have completely operational sportsbooks with countless TVs providing betting lines and action for customers.
ONLINE AND Cellular SPORTS BETTING IN RI
Sports betting online and mobile is now legal in the state. But, we’re still awaiting websites and apps that would permit it to start. The process has been started though and it is likely that towards the end of the year, users will be able to bet online and on mobile in the Ocean State.
William Hill now provides sportsbooks at both of the land-based casinos so that it would be anticipated that they would be heavily engaged in any online enterprise. But once Rhode Island online sports betting goes live, there will probably be a lot more option for bettors inside the state.
The Way to Bet on Sports at RI
For anyone unsure of how to place a sports bet the good thing to know is it is very simple and there is no chance of creating any mistakes that’ll cost you money. Provided that you bet responsibly you need to enjoy the chance to be more involved in the sport that you see.
HOW TO BET AT THE LAND BASED RI SPORTSBOOKS
Presently, You’ll Need to visit either the Tiverton Casino or the Twin Rivers Casino in Lincoln.
Provided that you satisfy the state’s requirements all you’ll have to do is sign up for a client account together with any brand new online sportsbook. You can then research the betting markets available and make your choice.
As soon as you’ve decided on your wager you just need to place your bet in the casino window giving all the information required — what kind of wager, how much stake, etc.. Then you just have to wait and hope luck is on your side!
HOW TO SPORTS BET ONLINE
As we have said, Rhode Island online sports betting isn’t possible yet, however since it is something which is going to be happening sooner rather than later, here is a fast guide to betting on sports online.
It depends on what game you’re gambling on but you will normally have an opportunity to bet on the outright result of the occasion (the moneyline wager ) or gambling on the spread — that is actually the points handicap the bookmaker will attach to every event. There’ll also be plenty of proposal bets that relate to subjects aside from the actual score. The Super Bowl, for instance, always has hundreds of’prop’ stakes including how much time it will take to sing the national anthem!
Whatever your choice, you will just click on the price given for this occasion and your selection will be added to the online betslip. Then it’s just a case of deciding in your bet (your prospective winning yields might also be indicated at this point) and confirming the bet.
RI MOBILE SPORTS BETTING
With sports gambling proving so popular in the casinos, the potential for mobile gambling appears an attractive proposal for the nation’s lawmakers. One question would be whether the mobile betting licenses would be limited to the two casinos. This might seem to go contrary to the idea of competition and questions have already been raised within a monopoly.
New Jersey already enables mobile registration and gambling and it’s probable that Rhode Island online sports betting could follow suit. William Hill and IGT supply the betting system for both NJ and Nevada therefore setting that up for online gambling in RI would appear straightforward.
RI Sports Betting Markets
Making the move to Rhode Island online sports gambling wouldn’t make that much of a difference to what gambling markets will be accessible.
Twin Rivers and Tiverton now offer prices and betting lines for all of the major US sports in addition to events from all over the world. The huge events like the Super Bowl are obviously very popular but the beauty of online gambling, particularly, is that you can easily find a market for your subject of expertise.
Whether it’s football, golf, basketball or hockey — or a great deal of other sports — there’ll be thousands of gambling markets accessible once Rhode Island online sports betting goes live.
RI College Sports Betting
Among the few restrictions on Rhode Island online sports betting, at the moment, is that customers are not allowed to bet on any occasions involving RI schools. That means that popular tournaments such as the NCAA March Madness and Final Four can’t be wagered on.
With college sports equally as popular as the major leagues in many regions of the nation the games are just as intensively played along with Rhode Island will soon be able to place wagers on these games on the internet and on mobile devices.
RI Fantasy Sports Betting
Fantasy sports and fantasy sports gambling is big business in several places in america and Rhode Island enjoys last time as far as anybody. But the legalities surrounding fantasy sports betting are a little confusing.
Initially in 2016, the Attorney General’s opinion was that fantasy sports sites were lawful and that laws should be drawn up to regulate and tax the business. However, at the exact same time, the state lottery chose that daily fantasy sports sites constituted gambling that was illegal at that time and ceased any efforts of regulation.
No new legislation has been introduced but the dream sports sites — such as DraftKings and FanDuel — have continued to operate in RI referring to the Attorney General’s previous opinion.
These enterprises are separate to other elements of Rhode Island sports betting but after online gambling in RI takes off the significant fantasy sports businesses will certainly would like to get involved in online sportsbooks — since they are in a number of different states whose legislation is further down the track compared to Rhode Island’s.

UFC 214 BETTING CHEAT SHEET: ODDS ANALYSIS AND PREVIEW

When it will not be the largest combat sports event of the summer, UFC 214 is certainly the largest MMA event of the entire year. In addition to this Jon Jones-Daniel Cormier rematch, the card features two extra name bouts, contenders and enjoyable fights throughout.
Brad Taschuk of all MMAOddsBreaker.com, takes a peek at where the gambling odds have proceeded for all 12 fights since launching lines (indicated in brackets) were released and he provides his thoughts on each matchup. All lines are courtesy of 5Dimes Sportsbook.
Jon Jones (-280) vs. Daniel Cormier (+220)
Jones was a -170 favored the first time these two scrapped and a few naively expected the line could be similar this time around. However, it appears that Jones’ legal problems, run-in with USADA and layoff has not had the effect anticipated online. It is hard to attribute bettors either, Cormier is currently 38-years-old, has been through some tough battles since their very first meeting, and Jones won each aspect of that first battle. Expect something similar — if not more dominant — that time around.
Regardless of how badly he takes his preparation, Jones is the kind of fighter that rises to the occasion like few others. He, this is the greatest occasion. Cormier is his biggest rival and he’s the opportunity to recover the belt that he never lost against him. That combination will lead to a tremendous performance from Jones. Expect him to dispatch of Cormier and re-assert his dominance at the branch.
Tyron Woodley (-210) vs. Demian Maia (+160)
Similar to the main event, this line hasn’t seen much motion. Given the contrasting styles, that’s not tough to believe. There is a contingent of people who think that Woodley is going to starch Maia with the first punch he throws. They could very well be correct. The opposing side of this coin is made up of those who believe that Maia can close the distance, latch onto Woodley like he has so many others and only predominate his grappling. They are right as well. Woodley’s tendency to back himself against the cage and play counter-puncher will be his passing. Maia has gotten so good at entering the clinch when not under stress he ought to be able to create Woodley overlook after. Despite a high-level wrestler the likes of Woodley, after Maia gets his hands on you, that’s a world of trouble.
The Brazilian’s capacity to commence Jiu-Jitsu imports without hitting traditional takedowns is second to none (he has perfected the single leg to rear take) and Woodley being the kind of man who likes to explode out of positions will only hurt him after that occurs. It’s kind of surprising that Maia by Sub pays an excess buck (+275 at Thursday morning), because Woodley will not be able to survive 25 moments of Maia engaging in the type of fight he wants to. The other option is most likely a fast Woodley KO (+350 for your champ in Round 1, by the way).
Cristiane «Cyborg» Justino (-1200) vs. Tonya Evinger (+600)
This battle being bettable is dependent on what kind of bettor you’re. In case you don’t have any issue throwing a huge line in a parlay, the Cyborg moneyline (at almost -1400), or Cyborg ITD (almost -700) are nearly sure things. If that’s not really your style, neither will be placing nearly 2-to-1 on a prop like Cyborg Round 1.
The only case I can make for a drama is based on Evinger’s resilience. She has taken damage in many of her struggles and persevered and she probably won’t return to conquer Cyborg in this one after a tough beginning, there’s an external shot she is able to endure five minutes. But even the costs for»Fight Starts Round two» and Cyborg Round two have dropped considerably (down to +150 and +450( respectively), which makes them less appealing even to somebody who’s always on the hunt for some round robin legs.
Robbie Lawler (-175) vs. Donald Cerrone (+135)
It is a shame this fight is taking place after both guys have seemingly passed their peak concerning durability, since a war with Lawler and Cerrone at their best would be a thing to behold. This battle will return to space management and in-fight decisions. Lawler wants to be indoors, Cerrone would like to be outside. The problem for Cerrone is that Lawler’s constant pressure will gradually see him get indoors and at the point, anticipate Cerrone to be much too ready to oblige him that the war he is looking for. While that will grant us the kind of struggle we want to see, don’t expect it to finish well for Cerrone.

UFC 225: Whittaker vs Romero Betting Odds

Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero will play it back , as the two fighters will do battle for the second time at the main event of UFC 225. Whittaker, who won the first game at UFC 213, is the -260 favored with Romero coming back at +200.
The first struggle between Whittaker and Romero played out as many people would have predicted, with Romero winning the first rounds thanks to his explosiveness and wrestling while Whittaker’s aerobic vascular and quantity striking finally won him the struggle in the later rounds.
Whittaker has not fought because UFC 213, since he suffered a staph infection, which derailed a title defense against Luke Rockhold at UFC 221.
Romero filled in for the winner to compete against Rockhold and stepped into the sneakers of Whittaker. Romero won that fight with his striking over his wrestling, as his power got to Rockhold and contributed to yet another third-round stoppage victory for»The Soldier of God.»

UFC Odds Explained

Concerning combat sports, nothing beats the UFC. Get it? Beats! Dad joke alert! Anyhow, UFC chances have enticed bettors to bet on their favorite fighters in order to make some coin. To be able to wager about the UFC, then you want a fundamental grasp of the sport and fighters, and you need to learn to read the odds. Odds Shark’s got you covered like two fighters locked in a clinch.
How to Read UFC Odds
Most sports odds are introduced in the exact same way. The preferred is represented by the minus sign (-), while the underdog is represented by the plus sign (+). You’ll also observe that odds are often according to bettors wagering $100. When you see +110 or even -110, it means that the juice or vig — what the sportsbook accumulates — is $10. Sportsbooks need to create money in order to have the ability to operate and the juice is usually in the $5-$10 range.
For example, You Might see odds to get a fight between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov revealed like this:
McGregor +125
Nurmagomedov -155
If you decided to bet the preferred (Nurmagomedov), you would need to set down $155 to win $100. Conversely, if you bet the underdog (McGregor), you’d just have to put down $100 to win $125. Underdog bets come with more risk, which is the reason you do not need to put up just as much cash as you would with a wager on the favorite. Something to note, you don’t have to wager $100 on this match. You may bet whatever you enjoy, based on the sportsbook.
Kudos to you if you can spell»Nurmagomedov» on your first attempt. A number of us had to look it up.
UFC Betting Explained
When it comes to wagering with this combat game, you have many choices such as the moneyline, method of victory, and complete rounds.
UFC moneyline gambling simply boils to gambling on who you believe is going to win the struggle. For example, Conor McGregor was a -140 favorite for his struggle vs Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205. To win $100, you would need to bet $140 on McGregor. However, Alvarez has been the +110 underdog, so you’d only need to bet $100 to win $110.
The procedure of success bet is a bet you place on the way the fight will be won rather of who’ll win it. Using the identical example of UFC 205, should you believe McGregor will win via knockout — that he did — which would be your method of success bet.
A total rounds bet is much like an OVER/UNDER bet you would make on any other sport but instead of guessing whether the points total will be less or more than the amount decided by the sportsbook, you’d wager the number of rounds. If you believe the struggle between McGregor and Nurmagomedov will probably be over in 2.5 rounds or less, you would wager the UNDER. If you feel the battle will proceed more than 2.5 rounds, then you would bet the OVER.
UFC Betting Tactics
The straightforward nature of UFC betting leads to straightforward handicapping and strategy too. UFC bettors are tasked with picking winners, the way the battle will end, and the length of time it will go on. To be able to be smart bets, you’ll need to do your own homework. The sole difference between doing your homework today vs when you’re in high school is that UFC assignments can win you some money. If only that were the case when you were a teen, although you probably would have spent your homework reward cash on Nine Inch Nails CDs like a few of us failed thinking they were planning to begin the goth revolution.

BELLATOR NEWCASTLE OPENING BETTING ODDS FOR FEBRUARY 9TH

Bellator Newcastle takes place Saturday, February 9 in Utilita Arena at Newcastle on Tyne, United Kingdom.

The offshore sportsbooks lately opened the full odds for the primary card, and here they are.
Bellator Newcastle Odds
Patricky Pitbull -510
Ryan Scope +340
Aaron Chalmers -275
Corey Browning +195
Terry Brazier -530
Chris Bungard +350
Fabian Edwards -380
Lee Chadwick +280
And here are my initial ideas on the Bellator Newcastle introductory lines:
Like many Bellator cards, this one is filled with big favorites. Most of them need to win, including Pitbull at the primary event against Scope. The large different here is clearly the experience and degree of competition faced. Pitbull has been among the best lightweights in Bellator for decades (and most likely one of the very underrated lightweights in the game ) while Scope is a Bellator newcomer who has not fought anyone of notice, save for a split decision win over former UFC fighter Mickel Lebout in his last bout. Scope has actually been involved in the game as a teenager, but has never really made it big, while Pitbull remains one of the best lightweights in Bellator. I expect Pitbull to receive his hand raised and he’ll be a favorite parlay piece amongst bettors.
I am not entirely sold on Chalmers and I would not be surprised when Browning pulled off another upset. Chalmers does have four first-round finishes, but the former reality TV star in England has been receiving simple matchups from the matchmakers. Browning wasn’t supposed to be competitive against Baby Slice within his Bellator debut, but he ended up completing Kevin Ferguson Jr. by knockout in one of the greatest upsets of 2018 in MMA. I think Browning is probably somewhat better than many of us believe he is, and I would not be surprised at all if he’s the angry here. As far as I am concerned, this is a dog-or-pass situation.
Brazier is making his Bellator with a whole lot of hype as a former BAMMA champion. He has won his last nine fights and hasn’t tasted defeat since a 2015 knockout loss which was his sole livelihood defeat. Bungard has a decent amount of expertise about the European regional circuit and is a decent gatekeeper type of fighter, but this is obviously Bellator looking to fit up Brazier using a guy who he can beat in his promotional debut. Like Pitbull, I expect Brazier to acquire this battle handily and expect him to become a popular parlay piece too.
Like Pitbull and Brazier, Edwards seems like he will be a favorite chalk bit also. The brother of the UFC’s Leon is just 5-0 and he is only 25, meaning he’s a bright MMA career ahead of him. Chadwick is a veteran of 40 battles and has fought a lot of England’s top fighters, but he’s been finished nine times, including four knockout losses, and this looks like another fight at which the heavy favorite needs to shine. I’d definitely keep your eye out for the Edwards within the space props, but he’s another man to consider putting to a Bellator chalk parlay.
